How to remove the gray shading of the fillable fields in the e-form's draft version?
The way to remove the gray shading in the draft version of the e-form differs between the Word version of Office 2007 and the Word version of Office 2010.
For Office 2007
First, we need to include the Developer Tab in the Ribbon:
- Click the Office button;
- Click the Word Options at the bottom;
- In the Word Options dialogue, click Popular in the left column;
- Check the Show Developer tab in the Ribbon item under Top options for working with Word;
- Click the Ok button at the bottom;
Now the Developer tab will be added to the far right of the Ribbon.
- Go to the Developer tab;
- In the Control group you will find a folder with form field options;
- Click the Legacy drop down button and here you will be able to see the Legacy Forms buttons;
- Click on Form field shading to remove the gray shading in the draft application form.
Office 2010
First, we need to include the Developer Tab in the Ribbon:
In the Ribbon, click the File tab and then click the Options button in the left column;
- The Word Options dialogue then pops up;
- Click the Customize Ribbon button;
- Besides the left bar, please select Main Tab from the Choose Commands drop down menu;
- In the Main tab box, click the Developer item;
- Go on to click the Add button;
- Go to the bottom and click the Ok button to close this dialog.
Now the Developer tab will be added to the far right of the Ribbon.
- Go to the Developer tab;
- In the Controls group you will find a folder with form field options;
- Click the Legacy drop down button and here you will be able to see the Legacy Forms buttons;
- Click on Form field shading to remove the gray shading in the draft application form.
